✍️ ICN Weather Comment – February 17
Temperatures have dropped again, and winter feels firmly in place today.
Although the sky is clear, the air around Incheon Airport is sharp and biting, especially in open areas exposed to the sea breeze.
With the thermometer hovering near 1°C and the wind pushing the felt temperature below freezing, it feels noticeably colder than it appears.
The wind has eased compared to yesterday.
In winter, how cold it feels often depends on what you tolerate better — low temperatures or strong wind. Even a small breeze can make near-freezing air feel much harsher, while calmer air can be easier to endure despite similar readings on the thermometer.
The key takeaway is simple: if you are heading to the airport early in the day, full winter layers are still essential.
